I bought/downloaded this paper doll pattern from Etsy for $4. Instead of packing for our trip, I maniacally traced the doll bodies, various hairstyles and outfits onto 'freezer paper," loaded up a diverse array of felt colors, and planned to spend either the flight or the drive from Detroit to the Upper Peninsula cutting out the shapes in order for the Bean to have yet another something to play with. She loved it! For one or two Quiet Times, and then grew weary of this toy as she does every other. So disloyal, that one. But this Montessori-esque craft effectively redirected any travel anxiety/restlessness.
