Mama and Daddy had a getaway the other weekend, and Beebee and the Bean had a slumber party. Seriously. He slept on the floor in her room, and they might have even gone to bed at the same time. That's just what happens when you put a 71 and 2 year old together for more than 24 hours. Their naps and bedtimes coincide.
We had a nice time at Skamania Lodge, on the Washington side of the Gorge in Stevenson - we "hiked" (really it was a dirt path that paralleled the golf course, we humped, we hot-tubbed. We also ate some animal-based foods, drank some wheat-based beverages, and slept for 10 hours in a row.
Handsome hubs. As I said before, Pendleton called and wants to hire you as a catalogue model.
Proof we were there.
We were genuinely enjoying one another's company. But when we went to put stuff in the car, we noticed these adorable and tiny little ballet shoes. And we were homesick for a hot minute.
I mean, this face?!? That soft peach-fuzz skin, those squinty little eyes, her "baby teeth" smile, her little cupid's bow lips, her little button nose.
