Snowmageddon

I'm already feeling nostalgic for this winter's arctic blast/snowpacolypse/snowmageddon/winter storm, and it's still freezing rain outside as we speak. We'll probably be home-bound another 24 hours, at least. I just know these snow days will hold a special place in my memory - watching my love delight in the powder, begging to play outside longer, go on one more sled ride, or stare out the window during the rare indoor moment - oh yeah, and the Bean loved the snow, too. Seriously though, those two. Makes my heart sing to see Alex and Francie enjoy this wintry wonderland together, with a brief appearance from yours truly, enough for a quick walk to the park and a sledding run or two.

I caught this little one sneaking drinks of my coffee/hot chocolate.

First trek out into the snowy front yard.

Sledding with daddy at April Hill park. Yeah, we had to borrow a sled from the grade school-aged kids. They were generous, fortunately.

For being a fearless sledder, she sure was a pansy snow-walker.

Tuckered from some good snow play.

Post-nap sledding adventure.

Mama and the River Rat.

These two.

The Bean watching her daddy shovel snow, her cute little pig ears.

Some might call this "waist deep" snow.

Playing with  mama's hair.

Who says you can't wear a skirt in the snow?!?

Poor baby.

Not quite the same view, but a general progression of the snow accumulation from our front window.
