Some pilgrims are adamant about not wears headphones, being present with the sounds of nature, open to conversation with fellow pilgrims. But I loved the opportunity to really listen to music, podcasts, books on tape. Each day I spent the first portion of the walk without headphones, purposefully being mindful of my environmental sounds, but I so love the iPod, and these tunes were the soundtrack to my Camino.
